The "exciting" trip home

This caused

this

and this to happen.

My Happy girls in the morning.

As we were approaching Ellensburg coming down the hill out of Yakima we heard this loud loud sound. We pulled over to the side of the road ( mind you its dark and 9:30pm) Jon checked our tires and didn't seem to find anything wrong but as we drove we knew that something was wrong. Luckily we hadn't passed the exit yet. Called around to some hotels and decided the Hampton Inn was good. The kids were cranky and tired especially baby. All three older kids slept in the BIG king bed and baby in a pack and play. They were so excited for the next morning with complimentary breakfast.
Long story short our Mini Van requires Run Flat tires we couldn't get them at one tire place so e had to call an old friend of ours pay over the phone for them while my step dad went and picked them up at the Issaquah store and drove them all the way to Ellenburg for us. I have a LOT to be thankful for in my life and today I was grateful that we had run flat tires because had we been going 70mph in regular tires we may have rolled the van and the kindness of my step dad who on a busy work day took the time out to help us.

The end of our Vaca

When we got back from staying in Utah we continued to stay with Jon's aunt and Uncle and they have the Wii and my kids (more like Jared was in Heaven)

Isaac hanging on dad wearing Tay's pink cowgirl hat that Jon's dad bought her.
Lil Tinsley hanging on the floor and while we were in Idaho she started doing the worm. Rolling forward to get what she wants to cute.

The night before we left we stopped by Jon's Grandpa's house the kids Great Grandpa and Tinsley being a ham.

and Marilyn grandpas new bride holding the baby making her giggle.

It was great to see family and to just be away from our regular busy crazy life. I also was able to run 4 miles while there and I even joked with my hubby about moving to Idaho so that I could run the square. The kids had a blast and on the road we leave in the morning.

Cowboys/girls

While staying with my husbands family friends we were able to ride horses on their farm. I have NEVER ridden a horse nor our children but we all did. Taylor was a natural and she rode like shes been riding for years. She was so excited to be a cowgirl and she didn't want to leave the farm. Here is Jared being led

Lagoon

As well as our adventure to Idaho we chose to go down to Utah for a couple of days with my in laws. Jon, I and the kids were able to save money by stying with a family friend who Jon and his parents knew when they lived in Clearfield. We packed up the kids and headed out to the HUGE water/theme park called Lagoon. Did I mention it was HOT!! Whew super HOT!! I think it was 92 or 95 degrees. Jon's parents got there before we did and found a nice shady spot in the grass to leave our lunch and snack items. The kids went first to ride some rides while Tins and I stayed and hung out. She was scooting around and came to the edge of the blanket and wasn't quite sure of the grass. I'm not what you call a thrill seeker but my husband is as well as my kids (they didn't get it from me). It was super duper HOT that day and keeping baby hydrated was no easy feet so for the most part we kept her in the shade with me.

The three older kids on a kiddie ride.

Smiling baby girl in the shade

All three again smiling.

Jared flying the ride. But Jared was really the only one tall enough to go on the "scary" rides. he ended up going on all sorts of CRAZY roller coasters and he even rode the Colossus which went up and down and around and Ugh no thank you but he had a BLAST!!

Still smiling by the end of the day

When we eventually left the park we decided to go out to Dinner at Chili's. Mmmmm since they are all gone in Wa I HAD to go. Well these two were so tired that we pulled em out of the van and sat them on the bench and they stayed asleep sitting up. All and all it was a blast and cant wait to go back without a nursing baby :)

DO NOT.......

So after our adventure at Chili's (with not the greatest service) we started back to the house we were staying at. Well my hubby grew up in Utah and he said he knew a "back way" to get home. That turned out to be an adventure and a half we ended up in some back alley like construction area that had train tracks etc.. when we realized we "weren't getting anywhere" we turned around and when we did there was this big HUGE structure with the words in BIG BOLD LETTERS that said DO NOT HUMP.
Really??? I couldn't stop laughing so we had to take a pic there kinda dark but you get the picture. So an adventure of having to turn around and being irritated turned into something HILARIOUS.

Idaho or Bust

We planned our annual trek down to Idaho for the Hunsaker Family reunion as well as taking the kids down tho Utah to take the kids to Lagoon. We left Friday night the 5th of August at like 9pm. Jon had to work that day and I was in charge of packing for 4 children and 2 adults for a week and two days!! AWWWWWWWW and yes I did bring at least 3 pairs of heels, a pair of wedges, flip flops and running shoes :) We had wanted to leave earlier but for some reason I just felt uneasy and panicky (which easily could have been my anxiety) but there must have been some other reason we left later and when we did I felt at ease. From our house to Rupert/Burley area it is about a 13 hour drive ( hence why we drive in the middle of the night) less potty breaks and with a breastfeeding infant who sleeps thru the night way better choice. Jon drove from here to Pendelton, Oregon and I drove from there into Meridian, Idaho. The nice thing also about driving in the middle of the night is that I was alone with my own thoughts, no radio, no noisy children= BLISS!! Our first adventure once we got to our destination was to go to twin Falls to visit with our good friends who used to live up here. Before we went to there house we took the kids to Shoe Shone Falls. It was HOT there!!! So hot that when we got out of the van I accidentally left my Iphone in there and when I went back it had a warning that the phone was too HOT so it turned it self off. We then walked around a little bit and Tinsley had her first adventure with a Sno Cone :)
