Taylor can Ride

My little girl has figured out how to pedal the bike with her training wheels on. The sun was shining so nice today I thought we would go out in the front.
Once she figured it out she just kept going and going and going.
Here she is pedaling toward our neighbors driveway.
And again pedaling up the street. What a BIG girl. I can't believe she will be 3 in two weeks. Where did my baby go?

Jared (ism's)

Jared was talking to me and asked if he could go play in the backyard yesterday. Sure go get your shoes. Later I checked on him and he said, "Mommy I was trying to catch a bird for you but I can't get one they are too fast".

Later that same day my children (mainly Jared) have a problem with closing the bathroom door and turning the light off. Jon and I were still sitting at the dinner table and I said to Jared, "Turn around and look at what's wrong with this picture". He looked at me and then he and Taylor both went to look at pictures hanging on the wall in the bathroom. They thought something was wrong with the pictures on the wall. Well at least I know they listen.

Jared to Taylor, "Taylor I am going to get the white butterfly for you but I was trying and it kept flewing away". Taylor, "Otay Jared it's otay".

Jared likes to sing songs and he learns a lot in Primary. But he also likes to incorporate songs together to come up with his own version. His latest song we will call "Up the street". Row Row Row your boat gently up the street merrily merrily up the spout life is but a dream.
His next song "The bells ringing". Ferajca Ferajca dorma do the bells ringing the bells ringing ding dong ding ding dong ding.
I love this kid he cracks me up and there is never a dull moment with Jared around. He makes me smile :)

Jon's 31st Birthday

On Saturday night Jon and I had some friends over for food, games, entertainment for his Birthday (which is actually today) Happy Birthday honey. We ended up watching the movie Seven Pounds and by the time the movie ended and we got to bed it was 1:30am or so. Of course we were super tired as well as the kids. Taylor ended up staying up until about midnight so she was super tired. This is what Jon and I awoke to at 9:30am this morning.( Look up to see picture) Jon, me and Isaac slept until 9:30am while Jared and Taylor had a hayday and opened up every board game known to man scattered everywhere and they were eating pita chips for breakfast. What a way to start off Jon's Birthday.
When we got home from church we had some rather CRANKY kids (mainly Taylor) since she didn't get much sleep so she ended up falling asleep on the floor. Isaac kept giving her hugs it was so precious.
Daddy and the kids watching The Simpsons while I made his Birthday dinner enchiladas and Mexican rice with fresh salsa we had leftover from Saturday night Mmmmmm.
After they got done watching The Simpsons Jon needed to go water our vegetable garden and the cherry trees. Jared wanted to help so he went outside with Daddy to help. While they were out there Jon noticed some of the tomato plants had a few nibbles out of them so Jon told Jared he needed to go put some slug bait on them. All of a sudden Jared got super excited and told Jon that he didn't need slug bait he just needed to use his dinosaur that growls and makes noise so it would scare the slugs away. How cute!! If only it were that easy.
After dinner we had cake with cool whip and caramel sauce and Isaac got it everywhere so we put him in the sink to rinse off. I hope we made his Birthday memorable.
WE LOVE YOU HONEY/DADDY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Jared's shave and Highchair ettiquette with Isaac

Jon's Birthday is Sunday and since his parents won't be in town they took him out Monday night to get him his Birthday present, a new pair of hair clippers. Jon has a pair but they are pretty old so he gave himself a haircut last night and then Jared comes bouncing down the stairs to ask if he can have a haircut like Daddy's. I said I don't care. This is the "Daddy haircut". Let's just say that his scalp is REALLY white.
After a strenuous morning some friends called and wanted to see if we wanted to go to the track to go running. While I was talking to her I was screaming at the top of my lungs to my children and had to hang up rather quickly and decline the invite. Then the phone rang again and she said how about I come over and we take the kids outside in front of your house I said okay. Isaac must have worn himself out because I had given him his lunch and the next thing I know he is asleep with still half of his food left.
And of course I had to get an up close shot because those eyelashes are precious. They sure are sweet when they are asleep now only if all my children could be sweet when awake then maybe life would go a little smooth but then what fun would it be.

Family Gardening

Jon helping Taylor put on her Dora gardening gloves that Papa bought her.
Isaac in is diaper and shoes with no socks pushing a play lawnmower
Jared excited about his Diego gardening gloves and matching equipment
The first bed which has strawberries and blueberries and Daddy showing the kids how to plant the Tomato plants in the soil (this was Monday night for FHE)
Last Saturday our friends came over to help us put our garden together. Jon borrowed his brothers truck so we could go to Lowes and purchase the supplies to build our raised beds. We built three raised beds and we positioned them to be along our side fence because of the positioning of the sun. We also planted some herbs as well which I am growing on the deck; cilantro, rosemary, basil and oregano. In our raised beds we planted strawberries blueberries zucchini onions tomatoes lettuce green peppers and spinach. We have never tried our hand at gardening but we thought we would head the prophets advice and till the earth. We also decided to have a small FHE lesson about planting a garden and having your own food grow like the pioneers. I think they listened but who knows. Jon and I no nothing about this but we felt really strongly that this needs to be part of our food storage. I know if we listen to the prophet he won't steer us wrong. One other cute thing is when Jon went to go get the soil to fill the beds Taylor kept calling it "Poopy Dirt". Out of the mouths of babes.

Easter Sunday

I love Easter time. The celebration of the Resurrection of Christ and being able to spend time with my family. I wanted the boys to have all the same color shirts just different shades. I think we all would like to have a nice picture taken but as you can see Isaac was not having it.I finally got all three children to cooperate but Jared had to be silly.
Then the picture of Me and my lil Mama aren't we cute!!
And since I rarely have my picture taken by myself I thought it was high time since I have worked so hard to lose soooo much weight. I do say I look marvelous. I wanted a picture with Jon and I but of course who would take it Jared? Yeah maybe next year.
Every Easter we go to my Mom and Step Dad's for dinner. We have lamb, roasted potatoes, rolls and asparagus. Of course dinner would not be complete unless we had dessert. Oh my goodness!!! My step dad bought cheesecake NY cheesecake and an apple pie from Whole Foods. It was so yummy.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE

PreSchool Easter Egg Hunt

Miss Rachel had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids on Tuesday and it was great that the weather cooperated around here. I tried to get everyone in the picture but these were the only ones sitting down. Jayleen, Ayden, Jared and Ben.Jared and Ashten waiting until they can go hunt for eggs.
The Big boys trying to get eggs from each other.
Jared in running motion to go find a chocolate carrot
and finally getting his chocolate carrot. He was so excited because he LOVES chocolate and I am surprised he even shared with me. Needless to say when we got home for lunch he wasn't even hungry, imagine that.

Isaac's Adventures

This little monkey has decided that he can climb anything and everything. His latest trick pushing chairs up to the counter and climbing on the chairs and also climbing onto the dining room table. You should see the look on his face. Priceless!!He has also decided that he wants to be "Big" like the rest of us so don't leave your food out on the table because with Isaac climbing chairs it is fair game. Taylor was so mad!!! She came running into tell Jon and I, "Baby is eating my food!"
And his latest adventure a chocolate ice cream bar that he thought would be more FUN to paint his head with and the tray. I am not sure he ate a whole lot.
Of course we had to get the close up shot. Needless to say it was bath time after this.
Also when Taylor was getting her haircut he had to get a sucker too!! His first one and he was sucking away.
This little guy sure keeps me on my toes. I better watch out because before I know it he probably will be crawling out of his crib. Stay tuned for updates.

Taylor's First big girl haircut

I took Taylor to get her first official haircut (sorry pics are out of order) on March 20th and I am a little behind with blogging. She was so excited!! We only trimmed the back because she was starting to look a little scraggly.
Posing with a cute smile for the camera.
Not sure what she was trying to do?
My mother in law went with me to help corral the childrens and while she was getting her haircut the stylist gave all 3 kids balloons and suckers. Needless to say it was a good day.
