My Hubby's Birthday/fishing with the kiddos

Today is Jon's 30 something Birthday if you really want to know just ask my oldest he tells everyone. Jon decided for his birthday to take the day off and take the kids fishing for his birthday so that morning he headed to Fred Meyer to buy poles for the kids and his fishing license. Here is Tay showing off her "pink" pole.
J showing off his green pole and
Bubba Man getting some fishing tips from Daddy.

We took them to Lake Geneva in Federal Way just off of Military Road. With Poles and chairs in hand the day would begin :)

J and Bubba checking out the waters edge.

The kids watching Daddy cast one of their poles in the water.
Jon getting ready to cast his pole.

My three kiddos mesmerized by the guy who was fishing next to us and ending up
letting each one of my kids reel a fish in
and let us keep them!

Jon helping Bubba reel his in. Now don't worry hubs didn't get skunked on his Birthday he caught one but it was to small to keep so we let it go.
We had a good time spending the day with Jon/Daddy for his Birthday. We even for dinner cooked up the fish and had Rib eye steaks for his B-day dinner yumm-o!!! WE love you Honey! Happy Birthday!!!

Mariners Game/Drunken Bachelors

There is something great about going to a ballgame especially when they WIN!

Thanks to my husbands parents who watched all three kids so we could go the the Mariner's game and get our Bobble heads and have a date night. We arrived at 4pm to get in line to get the "precious" bobble head Ken Griffey Jr. "The Kid". We were able to go with another couple and even had dinner at the Pyramid Alehouse across the street with to DIE for garlic fries!!! Way better than the Safeco field ones. Our self portrait Ahhhhhhh....

The seats where we were sitting were this close to get this shot.

And the the "Drunken Bachelors" who were HIL A R IOUS!!! Let's say they kept us pretty entertained and it is a good thing we didn't take the kids to this game.
The couple we went with Adrian and Kayla of course texting who doesn't know days. I couldn't believe how many people had Iphones! Insanity!

All and all it was a great night!

God's beautiful earth

As I was walking my oldest to the bus my eye caught some beauties in between the weeds and made me think of what a beautiful wonderful world our Heavenly Father has created for us and how sometimes we get so caught up in our lives that we forget to take it all in. I am thankful my eye caught this because it made me smile :)

Easter Tradtions

This year since the kids are getting older and comprehending a lot I thought it would be appropriate to do something that didn't involve dyeing Easter eggs. A couple of years ago at a church function a friend shared this project to do for Easter it incorporated the death and Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. It also involved putting together 12 eggs each marked with a #1-12 and each egg had a scripture and an saying and an item for the kids to touch. So 12 days before Easter we started this process. Each night there was a corresponding scripture to be read as well. The kids were really enjoying. I know how important the Savior is to us all and I wanted to convey that to my children. One night we had the prop from the egg and the scripture to be read. It was talking about when they put the crown of thorns on his head and the got to touch small blackberry branch. My 5yr old said, "Well why did he have to die?" my reply was so that we could live and be here as a family. I am so thankful for my Savior because without him I wouldn't be here where I am today.

Easter egg hunt

Every year our church has a Easter egg hunt for the kids. Usually with the way the weather is here in the Northwest they have it inside. But this year it was outside and Isaac had fun in his boots grabbing eggs.

Miss Tay was excited to get eggs in her basket and oh look isn't she just dressed for the weather ;)
Jared staring at the eggs in the tree not sure of how to get them down. By the time we got home each kid had 20 eggs so 3 kids x 20 eggs a piece = 60 filled eggs! Heck I shouldn't have let the Easter bunny buy candy at all he he! The kids didn't even know that I sent it all to work with Daddy!
