The light in the kitchen before was one of those lights that you find in the church hallways with long fluorescent bulbs (forgot to take a picture). We went to Seattle Lighting and found this I LOVE IT!!!!

And of course I had to get a new ceiling fan since I got rid of all of the gold fixtures in the downstairs. This matches my doorknobs.

Thanks to my wonderful husband who installed all the new fixtures and painted on a REALLY HOT weekend and to my mother and father in law who helped as well.
Now we just need to have a party!!!!!

What to do on a HOT weekend

What to do on a HOT weekend with your husband off work and the 4th of July??? Paint the house and set off fireworks.
I decided to

use the services of my father in law and my husband to paint the rest of our downstairs before pictures

and the ceiling were if you look closely there is an OBVIOUS line from whomever originally painted the house or lack there of.

Painting in progress and of course whenever we paint a wall we always leave a message of some sort so why not the kids names.

Now on the the FUN part of the night. Isaac running a muck and stomping on POP ITS. He was having a blast!!!

Two tank fireworks blowing at each other. And the neighbor kid Robbie showing his find. I love our neighborhood every year they always light of a TON of fireworks and we get to socialize with our neighbors. What more could you ask for.

Ties and Marshmallows

I love my daughter, especially when she uses Daddy's tie. She told me, "I know how to tie this!" she sure does.Then Jon walks into the family room to find Isaac with the empty bag of marshmallows scattered

And then Jon asks him to put them back in the bag

and you know what he listened and 18mo old!!! I guess 1 out of the 3 children isn't bad.

My daughter is hilarious. We were eating cherries for lunch and she decided to pit them herself and then rub her hands together and the pictures tell the story. Gotta love her!!

My Babies Daddy

Since I forgot to write something about Father's Day here is my shout out to my Man. He is the greatest husband any girl could ask for. He let's the kids climb on him even when he has a headache, he has worked full time all while going to school (and only 8 weeks to go and the Master's Degree will be finalized) and this has been going on 7 years that we have been married, he cooks, he cleans, he cleans the shower better than I do, he mows the grass since I am incompetent in that area, he allows me to have creative freedom in our home, he washes our vehicles because he says I leave "dirt swirls", he compliments me on how I dress, he bathes our children when I am at work and really he does so much more that I would be here all day writing. He COMPLETES me and I would be nothing without him!! Honey you rock!!!

The Family Garden

This is one of our three raised garden beds we have. This one is Tomato plants and Zucchini plants. They are huge!!!! We planted the zucchini from seed and bought the tomato plants and tonight

we ate these two zucchini from our garden and they tasted SO yummy. I am glad we heeded what the prophet said. There is nothing like eating fresh vegetables from your garden.
