Birthday Party

A couple of weeks ago we were invited to our friends kids Birthday Party at Roach Gymnastics Studio. The kids (as well as the two oldest Jon and I) had a blast. From swinging on ropes to doing jumps into the foam pit or the bridge (that's me Jon took the picture.)

Primary program

The kids at church have been practicing for months on there program for Sacrament meeting and learning songs. Jared loves to sing and is always singing the new songs he has learned to his brother and sister. When we got to church things were fine and then it was time for all of the children to go up on the stand and that is when Jared refused to go up so I dragged him up onto the stand with a smile on my face and made him sit with his class. He did not have a happy look on his face. It was the time for Jared's class to come to the microphone to say there short phrase and I have to admit I really forgot to go over his line with him. His teacher stands up there and says, "Jared how can you strengthen your family"? and Jared leans into the microphone as if eating it and breathes really LOUD and says, "I can ride bikes and skateboards and scooters and skateboards and scooters". How precious and outgoing my child is to come up with his own version of how to strengthen our family. I love this child more each day and especially when he turns to me in the car and smiles and says, "Mommy I sure do love you"!

Jared's project for Preschool

Some of you know that I recently was able to have Jared qualify for free preschool close to our home and it has been the greatest thing for both of us. Over the past couple of weeks my eyes have been opened and I have come to appreciate this child of mine. He was asked to do a project for school to let others know about him and what he likes. I never know with him what he likes because it changes from day to day to hour and sometimes minutes. I save flyer's from the Sunday paper and magazines so he could cut out pictures and glue them on.

Of course we had to find Transformers, Bakugans, Power Miner Lego's, Buzz Lightyear, Tech Deck skateboards and a picture of his Razor scooter. He was so excited to work on this and I had fun watching his eyes and face light up gluing these on.

Jared's 1st day of Preschool

So I finally got the call at the end of October to come and fill out some paperwork for Jared to be enrolled in the special education preschool. He started today and the best part is that the bus will pick and drop him off in front of our home. Here is not to happy about the first day and crying because I told him he could not take his favorite transformer Optimus Prime.
Here he is wiping his crocodile tears away.

And waiting outside for the bus

walking to the corner to wait for the bus.

And him leaving on the bus. He was so excited he didn't even cry when he got on but I still followed him in the car since the school is only 5 minutes from our home and I needed to drop off his emergency kit and the supplies he was required to bring. The best part of him going to preschool is that I get a much needed break with only having two children at home and Isaac takes his nap while he is gone so Taylor and I have time to spend together or take naps. I feel so blessed that I was able to get him in because I don't have to pay for his preschool.
