My Baby boy turns 6

Today is my oldest child's 6th Birthday and I was able to make cupcakes and bring them to his kindergarten class. He wanted the mushrooms from Mario Brothers so mommy obliged. We then asked him where he wanted to go to dinner for his Birthday dinner and he said he wanted to go where the crabs were? What was he talking about? Oh then we figured it out McGrath's fish house the Lobster's.
Here he is with his Birthday crown form school that he wanted to wear to dinner.
My big boy in his school uniform.
Opening up his presents and oh so excited!
We let him order what he wanted and for dinner he had chicken nuggets with a side of crab legs and then dessert, this HUGE dessert!
J standing by the lobsters with a strange expression on his face. We had a good time with both sets of grandparents.
I am so glad he is in our family and he keeps me on my toes every day.

He was so proud of himself for picking it up!
He was so excited he decided to try his hand at his wishy blanket

and the proud boy once again!

In this picture you can see some of the canned tomatoes and we ended up with 45qt. jars!

The night before Kindergarten

J had a project to complete before he goes to Kindergarten and way to go me for waiting until the last minute. Here he is in deep concentration cutting strips to make his apple pal.
Here is the finished product and he did it all him self even though I really wanted to do it for him. I asked him what he wanted to put on it and he said eyes, ears, nose, mouth and glasses and then I made a comment to him about his peach fuzz on his upper lip and then insisted on
putting a mustache on it :) The finished product.
So later that night Jon and I took him out to eat by himself and he wanted to go to Old Country Buffet and they have a balloon artist and J really wanted a sword so we got him one and then he had to show off his skills by
trying to hit daddy! and my hubby was so sweet he even bought me one and it looks like
this. How sweet!
