Date Night

Jon and I rarely get the opportunity to go have a date night because it costs to much to get a babysitter. Well Jon had Friday the 15th of July off and the parents were on vacation so we asked my Mom and Step Dad if they would be willing to take the kids overnight (all 3) Thursday night to Friday afternoon and she said YES! So we dropped the kiddos off and we went to Downtown Kirkland and ate at the FAB restaurant called Cactus. Really authentic Mexican food, a little pricey but SO worth it. The service was EXCELLENT and our waiter even ordered us an appetizer of Spicy Shrimp, to die for!! I suggest to anyone going but leave the kids at home. The atmosphere
was really cool and they even had chili's hanging from the ceiling.

While waiting to be seated we had some time to wander around and what did my eyes see but of course a cupcake shop.
The little shop called Sweet cakes had the most amazing looking desserts besides the cupcakes they had sugar cookies and bars. Lemon, Chocolate Peanut Butter etc.. well we decided on a Chocolate Peanut Butter and two mini cupcakes Red Velvet and Gluten Free Snicker doodle.

Here they are! Aren't they so cute! So delicious and just the right amount.

When we were done with dinner we walked back to the car and noticed at each traffic light they had these buckets with these signs on them

so being the dorks that we are we obeyed the law to stay 0 accidents while holding a flag while crossing the street. I felt like a crossing guard!

Not only did we have a wonderful night being alone with no kids we also were able to attend a session at the Temple Friday morning since my Mom lives like 5 minutes from the temple. Thanks Mom and Jim we really needed this.
